SAN ANTONIO, Texas: AT&T is facing software glitches in the roll-out of its U-verse internet-based television service [WARC News: 20-Dec-07]. The telecoms giant has postponed a major marketing push while Microsoft irons out technology problems.
AT&T cfo Rick Lindner is playing down the problems, insisting they are "normal new-product development" issues. He believes the company will still offer the service to eight million homes by the end of this year, and to 19m homes by December 2008.
