TESCO ROLLS-OUT NET HOME SHOPPING

IN CONTRAST to J Sainsbury’s recent decision to pull out of home shopping beyond the M25, Tesco has announced plans to extend its internet shopping trials from eleven to more than 100 stores by the year end. At the same time, it has axed the catalogue-based pilot scheme at West Ealing, converting it to the net: 'We have found the internet system has been far more effective', said a spokesman.
