In a bid to reach profitability, German ISP giant T-Online, part of Deutsche Telekom, is to demand payment for some of its online content.

The group’s eight million subscribers will be charged for access to games, financial and business news services, a soccer album and exercise videos.

Commented Burkhard Grassman, the board member responsible for marketing and distribution: “We've taken a first step towards fee-paying content.”
