PARIS: French-headquartered outdoor advertising company JCDecaux reports 2006 revenues up by 11.5% to €1.94 billion ($2.52bn; £1.28bn). Organic growth notched a 7.7% rise, thanks to a stronger-than-expected fourth quarter.

The UK market also performed above expectations with a strong showing in billboard and street furniture. Growth increased 2.6% to €580.4 million.

The Asia-Pacific region saw revenues climb spectacularly by 45.9%, while North America posted growth of 26.9%.

Avers chairman/ceo Jean-Charles Decaux: "We expect the operational progress achieved in 2006 - that was gained in both emerging and established markets - to pave the way for future revenue growth, which should enable us to continue to outperform the worldwide advertising market in 2007."
