TOKYO: Sony, Matsushita and three other Japanese electronics manufacturers intend to start marketing internet-accessible TV receivers next year, according to an unattributed report in Thursday's Nihon Keizai newspaper.
The new TVs aim to make accessing video and similar online content easier than via computers. The other companies involved in the initiative are Sharp, Toshiba and Hitachi.
