Boeing has reportedly narrowed the field to six in the review of its estimated $70 million account, launched last month [WAMN: 06-Jul-01].
The aerospace giant is seeking a Chicago shop to parallel the transfer of its headquarters from Seattle to the Windy City, and has been in touch with most of the city’s big agencies.
The sextet of semi-finalists, all to be visited by Boeing executives next week, are: Foote Cone & Belding (whose Seattle office is incumbent), BBDO, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett, J Walter Thompson and DDB. Grounded from the review are Campbell Mithun, Young & Rubicam and Publicis in Mid America.
The field will be cut to three finalists before a final decision, slated for October 9.
