Tire titan Michelin North America yesterday revealed that it has whittled the review for its (estimated) $30 million account down to six agencies.

The surviving sextet are Campbell-Ewald in Warren, Michigan; New York’s Merkley Newman Harty; the Richmond, Virginia-based Martin Agency; Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis; the Chicago office of Leo Burnett USA; and Dallas’s Richards Group.

One of the agencies removed from the contest is DDB Worldwide in New York, incumbent of seventeen-years until Michelin called the review in February [WAMN: 15-Feb-01].

A decision is expected within the next couple of months.
