Having already delayed its launch this year, Sirius Satellite Radio has now rescheduled its first transmissions for February 2002.

Assuming the new date holds, Sirius will lag five months behind its only extraterrestrial rival XM Satellite Radio which this week completed its national rollout.

Industry onlookers believe that Sirius’s chances are not enhanced by the fact that it will charge 33% more than XM for its services – and that its board still lacks a president.
