Seven shops have been chosen to present their capabilities to Swedish furniture chain Ikea in a $30–$40 million review of its US advertising business.
Battling it out are Miami’s Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Fallon in Minneapolis, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and Berlin Cameron & Partners (both New York), plus Black Rocket, TBWA/Chiat/Day and Goodby Silverstein & Partners (all San Francisco).
Conspicuously absent is one-year incumbent Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, which refused to participate in what it sees as an unwarranted review [WAMN: 21-Nov-01].
A decision is due by the end of next month.
