Department store group Saks yesterday awarded Atlanta’s West Wayne duties worth around $35 million.
West Wayne will from January 1 create and place broadcast advertising for Saks’ 235 stores, among them Carson Pirie Scott, Parisian, Proffitt’s, Herberger’s and Younkers. The account does not, however, include the Fifth Avenue chain, which develops ads in-house.
The review began with five shops, but narrowed to West Wayne and an undisclosed second agency, according to Saks’ executive vice president for marketing John Wendler. He added that print accounts would still be managed by individual store chains.
