Saatchi & Saatchi has walked away with the inaugural BBC2 Awards Advertising Campaign for its work on the British Army recruitment account.

Its ‘Be the Best’ campaign was lauded for its innovation rather than its popularity, and fended-off challenges from Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO’s Guinness ‘Surfer’ ads and the ‘Mental Wealth’ campaign for Playstation by TBWA\London.

The judges included Trevor Beattie, Kate Stanners, Jason Fretwell and James Sinclair - respectively creative directors at TBWA, St Luke’s, BDDH and BMP DDB.
