SHAREHOLDERS GIVE GREEN LIGHT TO AOL- TIME WARNER MERGER

The planned $122bn merger between American Online and Time Warner has been overwhelmingly approved by shareholders, with over 99% of TW investors and 97% of their AOL counterparts voting in favour of the deal.

The merger, first announced in January, now awaits regulatory approval from US and EU competition authorities and the duo hope to complete the formalities by this year end.
