SAINSBURY TURNS-OFF BRITISH GAS FOR SCOTTISH POWER

News, 02 October 2000

Britain's second largest supermarket group J Sainsbury has replaced British Gas with Scottish Power as its partner in offering cut-price energy to its Reward Card holders.

The deal could generate thousands of new customers for Scottish Power, giving it access to the heart of Middle England. Sainsbury has 17 million Reward Card holders, who will each receive £25-worth of the supermarket’s vouchers if they take up the energy offer.
