PARIS: Cellphone giant Orange will be official sponsor of next year's Rugby World Cup Tournament, to be held in France during September and October.

The company, part of France Telecom, will also offer its customers access to the best of the tournament's 48 matches, with near-live video clips; a dedicated mobile WAP portal with the latest news; and footage from previous events.

Comments France Telecom chairman/ceo Didier Lombard: "Orange is proud to support the Rugby World Cup, an event with global appeal and so in tune with our values."
