News, 15 September 2000

Swiss-based luxury goods group Richemont, whose stable includes such global brands as Alfred Dunhill, Cartier, Hacketts, Jaeger and Mont Blanc pens – plus 60% of Van Cleef & Arpels – has shortlisted four unnamed media networks to handle its consolidated pan-European account.

The combined European media business, which has an estimated annual value of £70 million, is currently handled on a national basis. In the UK it is split between Starcom, Motive Media Planning and Initiative Media. Whether they are among the shortlisted quartet is not known.
