Procter & Gamble president A G Lafley, was interviewed on China's state-television network, CCTV earlier this month.
Lafley's appearance followed a P&G board meeting in Beijing underlining the growing importance of China which is the FMCG giant's sixth largest market.
"Based on China’s rapid economic growth and P&G’s current momentum, we expect China’s business share to substantially contribute to P&G’s global growth over the next several years," Lafley said.
P&G is equally important to the People’s Republic. It is China’s biggest advertiser with estimated adspend of $404million(€341m; £228m), according to Nielsen.
