Instant photo firm Polaroid vowed to continue its marketing operations, despite filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Friday.

The company “intends to continue to manufacture, market and distribute its core instant imaging products” as it restructures, though it is yet to be seen whether ad budgets will be scaled down.

Polaroid’s estimated $150 million global account was awarded in May 2000 to agencies owned by or affiliated with Bcom3 Group, including Chicago’s Leo Burnett for North American creative, Bartle Bogle Hegarty in London for European ads and Starcom in Chicago for most media duties.
