LONDON - UK publishing giant Pearson has revamped the leadership of its Financial Times Group, naming Rona Fairhead to the newly created role of group chief executive.
Formerly Pearson's chief financial officer, Fairhead's new responsibilities extend beyond the Financial Times to other publications in the FT Group (including its 50% interest in The Economist) plus Interactive Data Corporation, in which Pearson is a 62% stockholder.
Former head of the FT's publishing businesses Olivier Fleurot moves across to Pearson to apply new digital technologies in groupwide publishing and information activities.
