Procter & Gamble’s overhaul of its European media planning duties continues apace, with the news that agencies have been appointed in Scandinavia and Italy. Adspend was unrevealed.
In Scandinavian markets, MediaCom is to handle the account, while P&G’s Italian business has been divided between MediaCom and StarCom. The news follows appointments last week in Germany and France [WAMN: 12-Jun-01; 14-Jun-01].
Although the consumer goods giant is reviewing media planning in all European markets (except the UK), the agency selection has been left to each market’s local media managers. Three agencies are in the running across the continent – Zenith Media, StarCom and MediaCom.
Further decisions are awaited in Spain and the Benelux countries.
