SYDNEY: Australia's Seven Network has raced ahead of its rivals in the television advertising stakes during the first half of 2007.
The broadcaster says it grabbed 39.2% of the A$1.3 billion ($1.1bn; €836m; £559m) metro TV ad market, which grew by a better-than-expected 6% versus the year-ago period. Seven is now confident the market will grow between 7% and 8% in H2.
Rival networks saw their market share slip during H1, with Nine lagging 6.4% behind Seven, while Ten's revenue share was 28.1%.
