CHICAGO: US online travel agency Orbitz has shaken-up its management suite and dispensed with the services of global cmo Randy Susan Wagner, whose role will now be split between regional executives in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Following Wagner's departure in mid-February, her marketing team, Tom Russell and Aaron Cooper, will report to ceo Steve Barnhart.
Comments Orbitz spokesman Brian Hoyt: "As we've grown toward a more operational focus, we've realized it's better for the marketing programs too operate at the local level. Today's move only helps us keep that focus."
Wagner moved to Orbitz more than two years ago from a similar role at McDonald's.
