NEW YORK: World marketing services numero uno Omnicom Group is set to remain ahead of the pack after posting robust numbers for the first half of 2007, in which revenues rose 10.8% to $5.97 billion (€4.32bn; £2.89bn).
Indicating president/ceo John Wren's tight control of the bottom line, net revenues did better yet, notching a year-on-year increase of 12.2% to $459.7 million. Main regional contributors to the dollar inflow - up by 13.9% - were the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
By comparison the USA, although still Omnicom's largest single market with a 53.1% slice of the planetary pie, posted more restrained revenue growth of 7.9% to $3.2bn
Europe accounts for 21.4% of all revenues (of which the UK contributes approximately half) while other regions return an average of 14.4%.
