Hard on the heels of WPP Group's upbeat Q3 figures [WAMN: 28-Oct-03], Omnicom Group has announced a 7% rise in profits.
The US-headquartered agency giant posted net income of $135.3 million (€115.8m; £80.0m) for the three months ending September 30, up from $126.1m in Q3 2002.
Global revenues surged 15% to $2.03 billion. The group's US operations saw sales increase 12% to $1.11bn, while non-US revenues jumped by 18% to $917.5m.
For the first nine months of 2003, Omnicom posted a 3% rise in net profits to $454.6m as worldwide revenues surged 13% to $6.12bn. US turnover climbed 8% to $3.39bn, while overseas sales rocketed 19% to $2.72bn.
