Omnicom Group, the world's largest marketing services holding company, on Tuesday posted its third quarter results to nods of approval from Wall Street. Net income rose year-on-year by 11% to $161.7 million (€133.65m; £90.56m) from $145.3m.
Worldwide revenue increased 9% to $2,522.9m versus $2,319.0m in the third quarter of 2004. Domestic revenue increased 13% to $1,428.6m from $1,261.3m in the same period last year. Revenue from overseas sources increased by a less spectacular 3% to $1,094.3m, marginally up from $1,057.7m last time.
Net income for the nine months ended September 30 increased 11% to $538.1m from $487.0m in the same period in 2004. Likewise, worldwide revenue rose by 8% to $7,541.7m from $6,958.1m. Domestic revenue increased 10% year-on-year to $4,168.4m from $3,781.6m.
International revenue over the nine months increased 6% to $3,373.3m from $3,176.5 in the same period in 2004.
