STILL BELCHING HEARTILY from its assimilation of the GGT Group, US-owned global marketing services conglomerate Omnicom has acquired Claydon Heeley, arguably one of the most innovative and creative UK below-the-line agencies. The cash on the table is thought to be between £15m and £20m, lining the pockets of founding partners Jon Claydon and Mark Heeley with an inspiring number of £-signs trailed by six zeros, with fellow partners Leo Campbell and Edward Mason also reeling under the weight of their wallets. The deal leaves Triangle Communications as the sole surviving independent among the top ten b-t-l shops.
