The Oldsmobile arm of General Motors has invited three agencies to submit creative ideas. In addition to incumbent Leo Burnett Worldwide, GM has also asked McCann-Erickson in New York and Chicago’s E Morris Communications.

However, the move does “not mean that we are unhappy with Leo Burnett”, claimed an Oldsmobile spoke, adding that its status as lead agency is not under threat.

The Detroit office of McCann handles sister GM brand Buick, while E Morris is responsible for Oldsmobile’s advertising to the Afro-American market.
