Hong Kong-headquartered Maxx Marketing, one of Asia's largest premium management consultancies, has been acquired by Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide for an unstated sum.

Maxx, which also has offices in Seoul, Manila, Shanghai, Bangkok and Los Angeles, employs a staff of 35 and handles premium business for a raft of clients, including Colgate-Palmolive, Bristol Myers, the Japan Baseball League and Tricon Worldwide.

Enthused Mike Murphy, O&M’s ceo-new networks Asia/Pacific: “What is most attractive about [Maxx] is not just its ability to buy premiums in volume at the best possible prices, but the fact that twelve of the staff … are designers of tailor-made promotions, which they then fulfill through premium management.”
