HELSINKI: Nokia has signalled its continuing expansion into software and services with the acquisition of Enpocket, a Boston-based firm that displays advertising on cellphones.

Financial details have not been made public but the world's biggest handset maker is expected to ink the deal next month.

Enpocket's 120-plus staff work with mobile operators such as Sprint Nextel and Vodafone and with brands like Hyundai and Pepsi.
