The San Francisco office of Young & Rubicam has quit the race for the $20 million Adobe account, currently under review, citing the greater priority it accords its recently-won client, California-based domain registrar Verisign.
Y&R is incumbent on the Adobe business and, says Y&R director of business development Sally Kennedy: “We had to make some tough decisions about our priorities.”
Still battling it out for software giant Adobe are Deutsch/LA in Marina del Rey, California, and San Francisco duo Black Rocket/Euro RSCG and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
The review is being conducted under the baton of West Hollywood consultancy Select Resources International.
