A host of internet advertisers and marketing firms are joining forces to set up a new body to promote and protect the interests of Asia’s online marketing industry.
The Asia Digital Marketing Association is backed by companies such as eBay, DoubleClick, MSN, Nielsen/NetRatings, Intel, Lycos, Orbit Media and Upstream Asia, though it hopes to add ‘bricks-and-mortar’ firms with online interests.
ADMA will help educate governments and businesses in the medium, forging best practice guidelines to aid digital marketing’s growth in the region.
“E-commerce and internet and database marketing is growing explosively in Asia,” declared the group’s chairman David Ketchum. “ADMA seeks to promote responsible growth and set world class standards for this young industry.”
