London-headquartered global business daily the Financial Times is to extend the circulation of its daily afternoon free newspaper .
Distribution of FTpm, which launched in April, is currently confined to 13,000 corporate clients and publicly listed companies, plus airlines and leading business hotels in greater London.
But as of August 29, similar outlets in Scotland's two major cities Edinburgh and Glasgow will be added to FTpm's coverage, with a subsequent rollout out to Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and the Irish capital Dublin over the ensuing six weeks. The overall print run will rise to 25,000.
The new editions will emulate the A4 format of the London edition, featuring a similar mix of business stories, comment and analysis. It will be delivered by 4pm each day
Hypes FT editor Andrew Gowers: "Our readers can now stay up to date with breaking news as well as receiving timely comment and analysis. They also have the choice of reading printed versions of FTpm delivered to their offices or downloading in .pdf format from FT.com."
