National cable and satellite home-shopping network ValueVision plans to rebrand its broadcasting and internet arms, both adopting the name of equity stakeholder NBC.

ValueVision, which currently reaches around 36 million US cable and satellite homes, concedes that the NBC brand is more widely recognized than its own and believes the new nametag will enhance its expansion and promotional activity.

As of June, its TV network will become ShopNBC and the website
