LONDON: The launch of Project Kangaroo, the much trumpeted video-on-demand joint venture from UK broadcasters BBC Worldwide, ITV and Channel 4, looks likely to be delayed further following the Competition Commission's decision to postpone the closing date of its investigation.

The probe, which is waiting for further information from the broadcasters, will look at how Kangaroo might impact on competition in the online video market, particularly on advertising rates, pricing and range of content and innovation.

The Commission is now expected to reveal its preliminary findings in mid-January.
