STOCKHOLM - Multinational free newspaper publishing group Metro International posted a growth in ad revenues of 19% in 2005. The growth was fuelled by sixteen new editions launched during the twelve months to December, helping total sales revenues reach just over €300 million ($357.18m; £205.24m).
    Total daily circulation was also up 19% to 7.6m copies, while the group's daily readership now stands at 18.5m readers per day, according to TNS data.
    The number of clients advertising in eight or more Metro countries rose from 25 in 2004 to 44 last year - a 76% increase.
