Mediaedge:CIA, the planning and buying giant spawned by the acquisition of Tempus Group by WPP Group, has unveiled its management line-up.
Regional operations in North America and Asia Pacific will be headed respectively by Steve Lanzano and Mark Austin, while in Latin America David Byles and Bill Colantuono remain in charge.
In Europe, Middle East and Africa, Dominic Grainger, former chief operating officer of CIA Worldwide – the Tempus-owned network that merged with WPP’s The Media Edge – becomes managing director. Hakan Gustavson will be chief operating officer and chief financial officer in the region, while Mainardo de Nardis will serve as EMEA chairman.
De Nardis is also worldwide ceo, alongside worldwide executive chairman Charles Courtier. Tom Handy, formerly chief financial officer of The Media Edge, takes up the same position at the merged network, while Beth Gordon retains her post as chair of WPP’s media holding unit Global MindShare Edge.
Mediaedge:CIA will be managed regionally, with support from global units such as Worldwide Client Services, Marketing, People and Culture, Digital, MediaLab, 36T, IT, Business Development, Legal and Finance.
Unveiling the new structure, the network also announced the departure of one senior executive: Hans Germeraad, who is leaving his post as chief executive of EMEA.
