MediaCom Leads the 2004 UK Media Agency Pack

News, 28 February 2005

MediaCom, the media planning and buying unit of Grey Global Group, shortly to be absorbed with its parent into the maw of WPP Group, topped the UK billings league table for the second year running in 2004.

According to the annual rankings study by Nielsen Media Research, the Grey unit upped its annual billings by 17% to £715 million ($1.37 billion; €1.04bn).

But the rankings are distorted by Publicis Groupe's pooling of revenues for its Starcom MediaVest and Starcom Motive units - now collectivized as Starcom Group.
