RICHMOND, VIRGINIA - Midsize media group Media General is to buy four television stations from NBC Universal for $600 million (€495.5m; £344.7m) in cash.
    In a deal that must first receive a green light from the Federal Communications Commission and the Justice Department, MG stands to double the number of stations it owns in the 51 largest US markets.
    It will acquire NBC stations in Raleigh, North Carolina; Columbus, Ohio; Birmingham, Alabama; and Providence, Rhode Island.
