OAK BROOK, ILLINOIS - The fast-food titan has launched its biggest internet marketing campaign by inviting consumers to email their pictures to the company for the chance to appear on its burger wrappers worldwide.
McDonald's says its global casting call, a website in sixteen languages, will choose up to 25 entrants to have their pictures taken by a top London photographer.
Adds global marketing vp Dean Barrett: "You have to have an ongoing dialogue with customers. Customers want to be part of creating content and allowing them to interact. It makes our brand more relevant to their lifestyles."
