The Manhattan office of McCann-Erickson Worldwide Advertising has connected with New York's The New Power Company to handle its account, estimated value $50 million.

The Interpublic-owned agency gains the business from Omnicom’s GSD&M in Austin, Texas, without a formal review, thanks to New Power’s top duo, chief executive Gene Lockhart and managing director/chief marketing officer Nick Utton.

Both men had worked with McCann in previous jobs, respectively at AT&T and MasterCard.
