Relationship marketing is to get a second bite at the cherry at McCann-Erickson London, where its specialist CRM subsidiary has lain dormant since the departure of chief executive Quentin Boyes in 1998.

McCann Relationship Marketing will officially re-launch on July 10 with Amanda Phillips at the helm as managing director. Phillips, who was poached from Joshua where she reigned for four years as chief operating officer, will report directly to McCann chief executive, Ben Langdon. The new shop will eschew traditional direct marketing services.

McCann RM was to be developed globally by Stan Rapp while Relationship Marketing International chairman, Chris Davies acted as a consultant and non-executive chairman until 1998.
