Magazine ad revenue in June stood at $1.4 billion, 8.2% down on the same month last year, while ad pages fell 18.6% to 19,751, according to the Publishers Information Bureau.

The latest figures mean that total first-half magazine adspend dropped 2.9% to $8bn, with ad pages sliding 11% to 121,772.

Revenues were down in five of the twelve major ad sectors: retail; technology; automotive; financial, insurance and real estate; and media and advertising.
