ISTANBUL - MTV Networks International is to launch a dedicated 24-hour music channel in the Turkish market targeting the 15-34 age group.
    MTV Turkey, a joint venture between Viacom-owned MTVNI and Multi-Channel Developers, will launch in September 2006 to around six million households. It will replace the existing MTV Europe feed, which was launched more than ten years ago and reaches almost two million cable and satellite households.
    The channel plans to develop locally produced content and will launch a weekly chart show called 'Hit List Turkey'.
