Interpublic-owned ad network Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide has appointed Paul Hammersley, currently its UK chief executive, to become its stateside ceo.
Hammersley will work from the network’s New York office, joining a US management team currently comprising Gary Goldsmith (chairman/chief creative officer) and Rob Quish (president). He is expected to cross the Atlantic later this year.
The appointment should complete the senior management upheaval at the New York office, ongoing since Lowe & Partners Worldwide merged with Ammirati Puris Lintas in November 1999.
Hammersley’s successor in London will be managing director Chris Thomas, who will report to a newly created post of group ceo.
