TOKYO - The head of struggling online business Livedoor revealed Wednesday the company is considering a merger with Usen Corporation, a move that would build on the comprehensive alliance concluded earlier this month.
"Management integration or a merger [with Usen] are among the options [Livedoor is considering]," announced president Kozo Hiramatsu.
He said a decision on deepening the alliance with Usen will be made as early as April after Usen completes its evaluation of Livedoor's assets.
