Telefon AB L M Ericsson reported a return to profit in its fiscal fourth quarter, albeit by a slim margin. The globe's largest supplier of mobile phone network equipment posted a net profit for the period of Swedish kronor 100 million ($13.92m; €10.98m; £7.49m), or about $0.013 a share.
This compares year-on-year with a net loss of SK8.3 billion kronor (minus $0.737 a share). Revenue dipped slightly to SK36.2 billion from SK36.7bn kronor.
The group reports that the global market for mobile-phone networks stabilized towards the end of 2003 and is expected to grow by up to 5% this year.
