LUCENT SHEDS LIGHT ON SHORTLIST OF FOUR

Four agencies have been shortlisted for the global account of the new (as yet unnamed) microelectronics spin-off from Lucent Technologies.

The chosen quartet comprises New York-based DDB Worldwide, Boston’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Mullen from Wenham, Massachusetts and the Martin Agency of Richmond, Virginia.

McCann-Erickson Worldwide, which currently handles Lucent’s corporate advertising account, has not participated in the contest for the spin-off’s business because of conflict with another client.
