The £1 million account for Lloyds TSB’s new internet bank Evolvebank.com has been awarded to AKQA.
The digital communications agency beat off competition from six other bidders, including Zenith Interactive and Saatchi & Saatchi, which handles Lloyds TSB’s bricks and mortar bank.
AKQA chair/chief executive Ajaz Ahmed said that the campaign will target the so-called mobile generation, who are willing to use new technologies to make life easier. The bank will be marketed via affiliate programmes, media-owner partnerships and customer relationship management, rather than conventional banner advertising.
Evolvebank.com is due to launch later in the year.
