After a protracted review, the US Postal Service has chosen Leo Burnett of Chicago as the lead agency for its $140 million account.
FCB Worldwide in New York, previous holders of the account, retains responsibility for direct mail and interactive marketing, while Frankel from Chicago will handle in-store and point-of-sale marketing.
Other agencies the Postal Service will use are Bravo in New York (Hispanic marketing) and Mediacom, also from New York (media planning and buying).
Although responsibility for Asian and African American marketing has yet to be assigned, Chicago’s DraftWorldwide has been dropped completely.
