Internet-based advertising time and space exchange, the Miami-based, will this month formally launch in Latin America.

Unofficially launched last year to provide a single resource for advertising space for all Latin American media, Advertium is not affiliated to any media company or ad agency. However, it has formed an alliance with US-based, a web-based system for buying and selling advertising with over 350 participating media suppliers and 6,000 registered media buyers.

Advertium is currently finalizing negotiations with media-owners in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and pan-regionally; also claiming interest from Chile, Colombia and Uruguay. It charges media-sellers a success fee or commission on sales, although TV, radio, print, outdoor and internet media can list their ad space inventories at no cost.
