BATTLE CREEK, Michigan: Kellogg Company's long-serving cmo/evp Alan Harris has announced his intention to retire as at the end of January 2007.
British-born Harris [with whom this writer shared many a bacon sandwich at 8am meetings back in the early 80s] is seen on both sides of the Atlantic as a master marketer.
He joined Kellogg's in Manchester UK in 1984, since when he has held a variety of leadership positions at country, regional, international and global levels, eventually to become president of Kellogg International.
"For more than twenty years, Alan has served our company with distinction in leadership roles across the Kellogg world", lauds Kellogg chairman/ceo Jim Jenness. "He has travelled extensively and helped us to grow and develop our people, our brands and our businesses."
No successor has yet been named.
